- ג: Gimel. Be good to your servant, that I may live and keep your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold the wonders of your law. I am a stranger in the earth: do not hide your commandments from me, my delight and counsel. #Psa119:ג
- ד: Daleth. I lay in the dust; strengthen me with your word. Keep me from lying, for I have chosen the way of truth. #Psa119:ד
- ה: He. Teach me, O Lord, your statutes, so that I shall keep them always. Make me go in the path of your commandments, and turn my eyes from vanity. #Psa119:ה
- ו: Vau. Let your mercies and salvation come to me according to your word. I will speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be ashamed. #Psa119:ו
- ז: Zain. Remember your word to your servant, which gives me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction. Though the proud deride me, I have kept your law. #Psa119:ז
- ח: Cheth. You are my portion of inheritance, O Lord: I will keep your words. The wicked have robbed me, but I have not forgotten your law. #Psa119:ח
- ט: Teth. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, O Lord, for I have kept your commandments. Before I was afflicted and went astray. It is good that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. Your law is better than gold and silver. #Psa119:ט
- י: Jod. Your hands have made me and fashioned me so that I may learn your commandments. Let your tender mercies come to me that I may live. For your law is my delight. #Psa119:י
- כ: Caph. My soul faints for your salvation, but I hope in your word. I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I do not forget your decrees. The proud persecute me and dig pits for me, but I have not forsook your precepts. #Psa119:כ
- ל: Lamech. Your word stands forever in heaven, O Lord. I will never forget your precepts, though the wicked wait to destroy me. Your law is my delight. #Psa119:ל
- מ: Mem. O how I love your law! I meditate on it all the day. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies. How sweet are your words, sweeter than honey. #Psa119:מ
- נ: Nun. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. #Psa119:נ
- ם: Samech. I hate vain thoughts, but love the law. Thou art my shelter and shield. Depart from me, ye evildoers. You put away the wicked like dross. #Psa119:ם
- ע: Ain. I have what is right and just; do not let the proud oppress me. Give me understanding that I may know your testimonies. #Psa119:ע
- פ: Pe. Your statutes are wonderful, so my soul keeps them. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so I will keep your decrees. Rivers of tears run down my eyes because they do not keep the law. #Psa119:פ
- צ: Tzaddi. You are righteous, O Lord, and your judgments are right. Your word is pure: therefore your servant loves it. Your commandments are my delight. #Psa119:צ
- ק: Koph. I called with my whole heart, O Lord, and I will keep your statutes. Hear my voice and preserve my life according to your loving kindness and statutes. You are near, O Lord, and your commands are true. #Psa119:ק
- ר:Resh. Deliver me from my affliction, and quicken me by your word. Many are my enemies. Your word is true from the beginning, and your judgments endure forever. #Psa119:ר
- ש: Schin. Rulers persecute me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of your word. Seven times a day do I praise you. I obey your statutes and have kept your precepts. #Psa119:ש
- ת: Tau. May my cry come before you, O Lord: give me understanding. May my lips overflow with praise, may my tongue sing of your word. I long for your salvation. I have strayed like a lost sheep. #Psa119: ת
