Jonah flees from the Lord to Joppa &amp; takes a boat to Tarshish. A storm occurs. Jonah is blamed &amp; thrown overboard. A great fish swallows him &amp; he is in its belly 3 days. #Jnh1<\/li><li>Jonah prays to the Lord from the fish\u2019s belly. The waters surround me, even my soul; the depth closes around me, &amp; the seaweed is wrapped about my head. Yet you have brought my life from corruption. The Lord spake to the fish, and it vomited Jonah upon the dry land. #Jnh2<\/li><li>The Lord says to Jonah to arise &amp; go to Nineveh. Jonah does, &amp; tells the people that, Yet 40 days, &amp; Nineveh shall be overthrown. The people and king of Nineveh put on sackcloth &amp; ashes &amp; turn from their evil ways. God repented of the evil he said he would do unto them. #Jnh3<\/li><li>Jonah, upset at his prophecy not coming true, wishes to die. He sits at a sunny spot overlooking Nineveh. The Lord provides shade &amp; takes it away the next day.
